In my book, Three Secrets to Academic Success, I suggest that resistance to taking the steps you need to succeed in college is related to anxiety.
This idea comes from psychology. Clinical psychologists know that the key to helping their clients overcome their struggles lies in getting them to explore painful experiences from their past. But most clients resist this because of the anxiety that they experience when they recall those experiences.
In the video below, you’ll see an interview Larry King conducted with Dr. George Pratt, a licensed clinical psychologist who uses tapping to help his patients overcome their fears, anxieties and phobias.
Dr. Pratt explains how anxiety impacts the brain, and how tapping (a form of energy psychology) works to undo this impact.
He also shows brain scan images that visually demonstrate the impact of tapping on the brain (these images begin at 5 minutes, 50 seconds into the video).
I would love to know if this video has you wondering if tapping can help you overcome your resistance to taking the steps you need to take to succeed. Leave your comment below!
